Family Therapy

Family Therapy is treatment provided to members of the same family to enhance insight into family systemic interactions, facilitate family emotional or practical support, and to develop alternative strategies to address presenting concerns, problems and needs.  It is intended to address relational problems through increased emotion-focused awareness, expression of feelings to better manage family interactions, maintenance of clear and healthy boundaries, and use of effective communication strategies. Systemic patterns and treatment goals are identified through an initial evaluation and addressed through use of various family systems interventions.
